Fairytale Studio Tour

Our Still Moments Project is a way to celebrate this phase of your child’s life in a timeless and classic way. Please use the guide below to ensure your session is a success.

Preparing For Your Session

  • Make sure your child is well-fed and well-rested to help them feel their best during the session.

  • Remove any temporary tattoos for a clean, polished look.

  • No nail polish or clean, fresh polish in neutral tones.

What to Wear for Your Still Moments Portrait Experience 🤍

Your child’s Still Moments: Legacy Portrait Experience is designed to capture their natural personality in a timeless, classic style. The right outfit helps create artwork that feels both refined and authentic — something that will look beautiful on your walls for years to come.

Here’s how to choose clothing that photographs beautifully:

1. Keep It Simple and Classic or

Think anywhere from Formal or “Sunday best” to a more relaxed and modern feel - the choice is yours and both photograph beautifully.
Boys: solid-colored polos, button-ups, or lightweight sweaters paired with khaki shorts, dress shorts, or slacks. Suspenders can be a charming touch as well.
Girls: sundresses, simple A-line or smocked dresses, soft cotton or linen fabrics. A bow or cardigan can add a sweet finishing detail.
Avoid: logos, characters, neon colors, or busy patterns that pull attention from your child’s expression.

2. Stick to Neutral and Soft Tones

Soft, timeless colors translate beautifully in Still Moments portraits.
Best shades: creams, whites, beige, tan, soft blue, dusty rose, sage, muted olive, lavender, light yellow.
Avoid: bright reds, hot pinks, or dark blacks, as they can overpower the portrait.
• For siblings, choose outfits within the same color family but vary textures slightly for depth and harmony.

3. Focus on Fit and Comfort

Your child should look comfortable and feel confident.
• Outfits should fit well - not too tight or oversized.
• Choose lightweight, flexible fabrics that allow natural movement.
• Children may wear shoes or go barefoot — whichever feels most natural to them.

4. For Sibling Sessions

Coordinate, don’t match.
• Stay within similar tones and complementary fabrics.
• Think “family brunch” or “holiday portraits” rather than formal wear.

5. Can’t Decide? Bring an Extra Option

If you’re deciding between two outfits, bring both. Our team will help you choose what photographs best once you arrive.

Styling Your Child’s Hair

Our goal is to capture their natural innocence and charm in a soft, storybook setting. Keeping their hair simple allows their sweet expressions and personality to shine through beautifully!

  • Hair should be down or in a simple style that looks effortless and natural.

  • Avoid tight ponytails, buns, or braids that pull the hair back too much.

  • Soft waves, gentle curls, or straight hair all look beautiful in our dreamy setting.

  • No Hair Accessories - Please skip bows, headbands, clips, or large accessories—we want the focus to be on your child’s natural beauty. They will also wear a flower crown in the garden!

  • If their hair tends to fall into their face, a light touch of hairspray works perfectly.
